High Waisted Double Take

I have to admit it, though its summer, Im feeling the high waisted pant right now. Chicago weather is, well, unpredictable to say the least so I still find myself needing pants. I thrifted these pants with my good friend Jen who youll find further down on the page in her full glory.

Original vintage tags were still on the pants, but Ill tell ya a vintage size 5 is no where close to todays size 5 pants.

Meanwhile..

I kept finding great stuff at the thrift stores we hit up, but Jen, well, she could NOT keep her eyes or hands off all the 80s two piece suits.....

 I love the sheet lacy dresses that American Apparel puts out but Im always curious how I would wear them out without just wearing over a swimsuit at the beach. I decided to pair this vintage dress with a pair of pleather hot shorts and my favorite summer accessory, a bandeau top.
