Colored Jeans

I was so excited to have found these red jeans from Forever 21 at a consignment shop for $10 because I', all about the colored jeans trend. I have had a similar pair of purple jeans from Forever 21 for over 3 years now, and I still love wearing them.

Comfort Me

I have to talk a little bit about an amazing boutique in Lincoln Park called Comfort Me. It is owned by sisters Alyssa and Bethany Thomas, along with their mom Melanie. For those of you in Chicago, it is located on Armitage, just east of Halsted at 651 W Armitage.

Comfort Me purchases their offerings from flea markets, trade shows and independent designers and artisans to create a mix of unique, stylish, green and luxurious pieces at affordable prices. Please check out their website HERE for more, but if you can visit the store because it is an experience.  Let me just say, the store is AWESOME. It truly does have a warm and comforting aesthetic, with one of a kind pieces from local designers to vintage paintings.

Comfort Me is nice enough to carry the vintage rings that I put together (below), and sell a few of my purses and necklaces from my vast vintage collection and I couldn't be more thrilled.

The other week Comfort Me held a fashion event previewing their fall collection and it was a blast! Good food, delicious champagne, and great fashion! My rings were even featured with some of the looks, which made me so happy. To top the night off, there was a raffle benefitting breast cancer and I was one of the lucky winners. I walked away with an amazing pair of corduroy flares, and a peek a boo shoulder dress..pics to come.

As for now, a few pics from the event.....

I am not sure how many Urban Outfitter Outlets there are, but Chicago is lucky enough to have one of them...and its a danger trap....in the best way. Lets just say among my purchases, I have gotten Jeffrey Campbell wedges for $5, Frye loafers for $5, and several items for just $2 or $3!!!! Yeah, its awesome.
For those of you in Chicago, check it out at Clark & Fullerton!

Guys and Dolls

I was in Nashville the other weekend and my boyfriend surprised me by getting tickets to see Guys and Dolls at the Franklin Theater. The theater was first built in 1937 and had closed its doors in 1997, re-opening them again for opening night of Guys and Dolls.
